Getting Kiwi players overseas to see the level and compete with the best. Lavie Academy players get priority, and we are open to players from other clubs who share that goal.

Tours

Where we go

Europe
Ages 11 to 14 · June and July

A chance to compete against some of the best players in the world on clay courts in the European summer. We also run European trips at other times of year based on player needs.

Australia
All ages · April, July and October

A chance to test the waters, see what type of players are out there and compete against different people in different environments. Trips mix green ball events for 9 and 10 year olds with Australian Open money tournaments and UTR events.

Fiji ITFs
Ages 14 to 18 · April and July

A good access point for a player’s first ITF points. Fiji is one flight from Auckland, so ITF points are relatively accessible.

New Zealand ITFs
Ages 14 to 18 · January and October

A great place to get started on the ITF circuit while playing from home. Players compete against different types of opponents, see the level and start building a ranking.

New Zealand events
Nationals · Kiwi Indoors · Tier 1 events

We take players to the New Zealand Nationals, Kiwi Indoors and all Tier 1 events around the country, so they have their coach with them at the biggest junior tournaments at home.

Asian Tennis Federation events
Ages 11 to 14 · April or October

A closer alternative to Europe for players in the top 10 of their age group in New Zealand who need international competition against different players.

We take care of everything

A Lavie coach travels with every group. Before each trip, players do pre-tour training and fitness work so they are ready to compete for several weeks in a row. We look after tournament entries, accommodation and travel, and run training sessions between events.

Off the court, we plan cultural learning days so players learn about the places they visit, pick up a little of the language and try different foods. Each tournament is an adventure, and learning to deal with things off the court is a big part of becoming a world-class player.
