Coaches

Coaches who have done it

Sebastian Lavie is a former New Zealand Davis Cup player and NZ number one junior who played the junior Grand Slams and on the ATP Tour. He was Tennis New Zealand's High Performance Coach of the Year in 2017, has coached ATP and WTA top 100 players and has captained New Zealand junior teams. He leads a team of performance coaches, fitness trainers and physios.

Your lead coach
Every player is assigned a lead coach who works with them throughout the year. Your lead coach runs the training plan, plans tournament travel and handles the organisation with your family, so there is always one person who knows the full picture.
Every player is different
We build each programme around the individual: their game, their goals, their school and their body. We work closely with parents and any other coaches involved, so the player gets the right environment to improve.
From matches back to the practice court
Our coaches are courtside at tournaments. What we see in matches goes straight back into training, so practice time is spent on what actually matters in competition.
One team around the player
Tennis coaches, fitness trainers and physios work together on one plan, so on-court work, conditioning and recovery all point the same way.

“What sets them apart is their focus on personalised player development, with training tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. My daughter has been with the academy for 3 years now and has greatly benefited from her training and coaching here.”
