Hello!
My name is Salomón Díaz.
I am a tennis coach from Argentina, with nearly 20 years of experience in player development.
I have had the privilege of learning from two world-class mentors: in Argentina, with Leonardo Lerda, coach of Clarissa Fernández and Inés Gorrachategui, both WTA players who reached the top 20 in the world rankings; and in Spain, where I spent a year at Jofre Porta’s Global Tennis Academy, who was involved in the formative stages of Carlos Moyá (former world No. 1) and in the junior stage of Rafael Nadal.
What I seek in my sessions is to analyze how players manage their different strokes and apply them in various situations. In a second stage, I share this analysis with the players so that, through conscious reflection, they can become the main drivers of the changes we jointly consider necessary.
Here in New Zealand, I have been involved in development processes in the city of Christchurch, where I had the opportunity to work with the top three under-10 players in Canterbury.
In my work here at the Lavie Tennis Academy, I am eager to share my experience with all players who are interested in taking their game to the next level.
I hope we get to meet soon!
